as your tour guide and companion throughout your trip to Bhutan. Drive to your
hotel in Thimphu. After a relaxing lunch, head to Kuensel Phodrang, also known as
Buddha Point, to see the world’s largest sitting Buddha statue. The statue stands 167
feet high. The statue is located on top of a hill overlooking Thimphu; it is accessible

means "clear," and from here, you will undoubtedly have a spectacular view over
the Thimphu Valley on both sides. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day : 2 THIMPHU – THIMPHU
Mountain
Enjoy a traditional breakfast to prepare for the day's adventures. Visit the Motithang
Takin Preserve, which is home to the Takin, Bhutan's national animal. This little
natural area allows you to see these amazing animals in their natural setting. Visit
the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory, where traditional Bhutanese paper is still produced using ancient processes. Learn about the unusual watermark paper
manufacturing method and view goods such as handmade lampshades, envelopes,
and other ornamental items. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum, a cultural treasure
trove that opened to the public in 2001. Explore exhibitions that offer in-depth
insights into Bhutanese heritage, including traditional artifacts, household goods,
and tools used in daily life. After Visit the Thangthong Dewachen Nunnery (Zilukha
Anim Dratshang), a tranquil Buddhist monastery perched atop a hill with stunning
views of Thimphu. The monastery grounds provide panoramic views of
Tashichodzong and its surroundings. Explore the Bhutan Textile Museum, where
you can learn about Bhutan's rich textile culture. View gorgeous textiles, including
the famous Bhutanese silk and wool fabrics. Relax at Coronation Park, also known
as Centenary Park, which is located on the Wangchu River. Return to your hotel for
some rest and leisure after a day of exploring.
-
Day : 3 THIMPHU – PARO
After breakfast, drive to Dochula, stopping at Dochula Pass (3,100 m), which offers
breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks on a sunny day. Dochu La Pass is
possibly Bhutan's most well-known mountain pass. The Dochu La Pass, located at
3150 meters above sea level, is approximately 30 kilometers from Thimphu and the
road to Punakha. On a clear day, the pass provides a breathtaking perspective of the
great eastern Himalayan ranges. After arriving in Paro, check into your hotel and
visit the Ta Dzong (National Museum). Ta Dzong, which means 'watch tower',
served as the watch tower for the Paro Rinpung Dzong. Back then, similar look-out
positions were established for neighboring dzongs (fortresses) to resist any
impending wars, as there was regular fighting. Stay overnight in Paro.
-
Day : 4 PARO – TIGER’S NEST HIKE
After an early breakfast, drive up to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest). The most
famous and sacred site in all of Bhutan. Guru Padmasambhava is reported to have
arrived here on a flying tigress and spent three months meditating in a cave. The trek
to the top takes around 2 hours along wide pathways established during the
restoration process. One hour into the climb, there is a tea point with a great view of
the monastery; they also serve lunch here. From there, it's another 45 minutes of
hiking to the second vantage point, the hike's highest point. From the pass, it's
downhill until you reach Haa. If you're feeling active, you can climb about ten
minutes further up to Lhakhang Karpo (the white temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (the
black temple). Haa Valley is a small and lovely valley known as a Hidden Land,
safeguarded and blessed by Guru Rinpoche. This valley was closed to travelers until
a decade ago. The Indian Army's base headquarters in Bhutan is located in this
valley, and the Dzong serves as its administrative hub. You can visit the Dzong,
where the Indian Army has even established a CSD and non-CSD canteen; the
Central Monastic Body continues to oversee the central tower. Have lunch in Haa
before driving back up to Chelela Pass and down to Paro Valley. Stay overnight in
Paro.
